Obituary

No. Andover - Alexander M. Belski, 85, a resident of Tewksbury for fifty-two years, passed away Sunday March 19th at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House.
Al was born August 27, 1931 in Needham, Massachusetts and was a graduate of Needham High School, Class of 1949. He served his country in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict where he attended rocket propulsion school and was stationed at the Air Force Flight Test Center at Edwards Air Force Base in California. There he worked on experimental rocket engine powered aircraft, including the X-1. He worked in the electronics industry for many years up until his retirement.
He is survived by his son, A. Matthew Belski, Jr. and his wife Cynthia; a brother Walter “Dick” Bielski; a sister-in-law Irene Augustus; and several nieces and nephews and their families. Al was pre-deceased by his wife of 42 years, Joan (Renninson) Belski, his daughter Cheryle Sutherland and his siblings, Millie Pyke, Theodore “Ted” Bielski and Chester “Chet” Bielski. His family would like to acknowledge his special friends at Greystone Farm in Salem, N.H. and at Sutton Hill Center in No. Andover and also his caretakers at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House for their kindness and professional care.
Relatives and friends will be received on Thursday March 23rd from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey St. and 975 Main St. (Rte 38), Tewksbury Center. PH (800 or 978) 851 2950. Prayers will be offered Thursday evening at 7:00 pm in the Funeral Home. Following cremation, interment will be private.
