LEICESTER: Linda Starr (Coates) Varella 70 of Leicester, died Sunday, March 19 at her home. She leaves her sons Ricardo J. and David S. Varella of Leicester, her daughters Lisa M. Lynde of Worcester and Lori S. Ronander of Leicester with whom she lived, two grandchildren Jesseca M. and Matthew J. Lynde of Brookfield.
Linda was a photo lab supervisor for CVS Pharmacy in Spencer before her retirement in 2010.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., she was the daughter of Richard and Lola Coates and later graduated from South High School in Worcester. She enjoyed sewing and tending her garden. She loved her cats and especially her children. She was an avid stamp collector with a passion for the hobby and collected stamps from around the world.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 22 at 6 p.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. A calling hour from 5 to 6 p.m. will precede the services.
