In Milton, March 20, 2017 Anthony Moniz, Age 49, passed away following a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Anthony is survived by his wife Robin (Rodriques) Moniz of Lakeville. He was born in New Bedford, the son of the late Charles & Carmenella (Vitro) Moniz. Anthony had resided in Lakeville since 2009 and was formerly of New Bedford. He was employed as a diesel mechanic and also assisted with the family business, Robin’s Corner Flower Shop in Taunton. Anthony enjoyed taking road trips, working on cars, being with his family, especially his two grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Anthony leaves his children, Crystal Moniz of Lakeville and Kevin Moniz of Freetown and his step children, Bobby MacGibbon and Chris MacGibbon and his fiancée Amanda Noe all of Lakeville and Ryan MacGibbon of Taunton. His siblings, Betty Jean Lepore of Wareham, Donna Magnasco of Danvers, Raymond Silva and his wife Wendy of New Bedford and Roger Moniz of New Bedford. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren, Alana and Landen. Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Thursday from 5-8 pm. Burial is private at the request of the family. Donations may be made in Anthony’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942
