Buck Brannen Bizzell, Sr., 79, of Tifton passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev Jerry Riggs officiating. Mr. Bizzell will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 22, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Carlos Dean Sr., Carlos Dean Jr, Jeremy Dean, Jody Dean, Stacy Bozeman and Chris Cox will serve as pallbearers.
Born July 21, 1937 in Moultrie, Mr. Bizzell was the son of the late Sylvester Sewell Bizzell, Jr. and Jeffie Jenkins Bizzell. He was also preceded in death by one son, David Brannen Bizzell. Before retiring, he was an iron worker “Rodbuster” and of the Baptist faith. He loved his family, especially his grandkids and his wife “Mama”, was the love of his life. He loved the Georgia Bulldogs, enjoyed fishing and drinking coffee. He had lived in Tifton for the past 30 years.
Mr. Bizzell is survived by his wife, Judy Dean Bizzell of Tifton; one son, Buck Brannen Bizzell, Jr. and special friend, Valerie Goodman, both of Tifton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Bert Hutchinson and Donna and Scott Nunnery, all of Tifton; his grandchildren, Adam Hutchinson and wife Zatina, Kristen Kostelecky, Brannah Bizzell, Bert Hutchinson, Jr., Jaydelyne Hutchinson, Conner Hutchinson and Morgan Hutchinson; two great-grandchildren, Angel Hutchinson and Donterrius Hutchinson.
