In Taunton, Mark W. Benton, March 13, 2017 Passed away in Wedgemere Nursing Home following a brief illness at the age of 77. Mark was born in Taunton, the son of the late Frank W. Benton Sr. & Edith (Cooke) Benton. Mark was educated in Taunton schools and had resided all his life in Taunton. He was employed as a cook for several local restaurants, including Howard Johnson’s. Mark enjoyed watching all local sports, he loved his dogs and cherished his time with family. He leaves his siblings, Judith Benton of Taunton, Jeraldine Benton of Oregon, Frank Benton Jr. of Grafton, MA and Jane Eastman of North Smithfield, RI. Mark also leaves several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 25th in St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton at 12 noon. Burial is private at the request of the family.
