Therese M. Blais 89, formerly of North Smithfield, died March 15, 2017 at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Normand R. Blais. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Eddy and Yvette (Cloutier) Ricard. Therese was a homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed sewing and making quilts.
She is survived by four sons, Dean Blais of North Attleboro, Gary Blais of Gainesville, FL, Lee and Alan Blais both of Woonsocket; a daughter Jill Blais-Pignolet of Mapleville; eight grandchildren, Karen Martel, Kevin, Peter, Leah, Michael, Erin, Russell, and Branden Blais, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Norman Blais and two brothers William and Robert Ricard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday March 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. The family will begin receiving guest at church at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wrentham Developmental Center, Special Gift Fund, Wrentham, MA 02093 in her memory would be appreciated.
