Obituary


Mr. James Stoddard, age 73, of Woburn passed away peacefully March 13, 2017, following a short illness. Jim, as he was known to his family and friends, was the beloved husband of Anne (O'Driscoll) Stoddard. Born in Stoughton he was the son of the late Eugene and Bernice (Bodkus) Stoddard. Jim worked as a skilled mechanic with the U.S. Postal service for many years prior to his retirement. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Navy.

In addition to his beloved wife Anne, Jim is survived by his devoted children, Brian Stoddard of Salem, MA, Michael Stoddard of Doolin, Ireland, and Susan Stoddard of Chicago, IL. He was the brother of the late Peggy Sheehan. Uncle of Debbie Wilbur and her husband Dickie, Sharon Bell and her husband Butch, Robbie Deane and his companion Annemarie Wells, all of Middleboro.

Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Wednesday, March 22nd, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home will be held on Tuesday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Interment will be private.

It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Jim's memory to the NAMI of Massachusetts, The Schrafft Center, 529 Main St., Suite 1M17, Boston, MA 02129.
