COONEY, Patricia (Sullivan) Born March 15, 1933, Died suddenly March 15, 2017. Beloved wife of 65 years of Kenneth Cooney. Cherished mother of Kathryn of Newton, Susan and Paul of Newton and Diane and John Reilly of West Roxbury. Sister of Mary Sullivan of Newton and Ann and Richard Talanian of Norwood. Sister of the late John, Lawrence, Eugene and Francis Sullivan. Sister-in-law of Bertha Sullivan of Wellesley, Phyllis Sullivan of Quincy and Donna Sullivan of Franklin and many nieces and nephews. Patricia was well known for her joy, generosity, love of poetry, humor, quiet kindnesses and love of her family. She treated everyone with dignity and inspired hope in anyone she met. She will be sorely missed. Family and friends invited to celebrate her life Tuesday, March 21st from 6-8 pm at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Theresa's Chapel, 2078 Centre St., West Roxbury on Wednesday at 10 o’clock.
