Obituary

Roland Deslauriers age 92 of Brockton, died Sunday March 12, 2017 at his home after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Viola (Catrabone) Deslauriers for 72 years, who passed away a year ago. He was born in Brockton a son of the late Victor and Mary (LeBlanc) Deslauriers and remained a lifelong resident of the city.

Roland had been the founder and owner of Dana Construction in Brockton for his entire building career. He was most proud of building, with his partner, Rocky Marciano’s home in Brockton.

Roland loved playing poker and trips to casinos. He was a man who lived life to the fullest and on his own terms and loved family gatherings. He was most proud of his children’s accomplishments.

He was the father of Carol Conley and her husband Edward of Brockton, Jean Sullivan and her companion Gregory Smith of Hull and the late Roland Deslauriers. He leaves three grandchildren Christine Freeman, Edward C. Conley and John Butler and four great grandchildren Nicholas and Julia Freeman and Dana and Emma Butler. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St.(rte. 123) Brockton on Monday March 20, 11am-noon. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Please omit flowers and consider a donation in Roland’s name to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
