Gordon L. Kirk
Manchester– Gordon L. Kirk, 77, died March 14, 2017 at Catholic Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada on October 13, 1939 the son of Donald and Elva (Larson) Kirk.
He formerly served on the Manchester NH Police Department, and later owned and operated, A1 Auto School from 1983 to 2015. He was a longtime member of Intervale Country Club. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, woodworking, and photography.
Family members include, four sons, Barry G. Kirk (Brenda) of Nottingham, Brian A. Kirk (Laura) of Manchester, Steven M. Kirk of Emeryville, CA., Alan C. Kirk (Denise) of Manchester, three grandsons, Christopher, Dylan, Ryan, one sister, Joyce Demers (Armand) of Goffstown, one sister in law, Nita Kirk, of Alberta, Canada and his two former wives, Jacqueline Lyon, and Diane Bangs and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is predeceased by one brother, Don Kirk of Alberta, Canada. He was also predeceased by “Gritty the Kitty” and survived by, Roxy.
A memorial reception will take place Monday from 4 to 6 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pope Memorial SPCA of Concord, Merrimack County, 94 Silk Farm Rd., Concord NH 03301.
