Ronald J. Bohn, Sr. age 82 of Brockton, died March 14, 2017 at his home under the care of his family and hospice. He was the husband of the late Shirley A. (Burke) Bohn. Ron was born and raised in South Boston, a son of the late Walter and Alice (Casey) Bohn and had been a resident of Brockton since 1973.
He retired as a custodian from the YMCA and St. Joseph Manor both in Brockton. In his free time, Ron loved watching old Hollywood movies, following politics and current events and talking Boston sports with his son Ron. He sorely missed his dog Daisy.
Ron was the father of Ronald J. Jr. and his wife Denise (Lariviere) of E. Bridgewater, Richard C. and Marlene Bohn, both of Brockton. He also leaves 2 grandchildren, Elizabeth G. and Ronald J. III, and 1 great granddaughter Scarlett Bohn. He was the brother of Alice Bohn, Marylou Dionne, Richard Bohn, Brenda Powers and the late Walter and George Bohn.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont (Rte.123) Brockton on Saturday 2-4:30pm immediately followed by a funeral service. Cremation will follow.
