FALL RIVER – Manuel Moreira, age 80 of Fall River, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Catholic Memorial Home with his loving family by his side. Born in Remédios da Bretanha, São Miguel, Açores, he was the beloved husband of Maria (Valentim) Moreia and the son of the late Jose & Maria (Borges) Moreira. Prior to retiring, Manny worked for Jo-Ann Fabrics as a maintenance man, and was a past parishioner of St. Michael’s Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother, Jose Moreira, and his sister, Helen Medeiros; & several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Amelia Moreira.
Manny's visitation will take place on Saturday, March 18th in the Catholic Memorial Home Chapel from 9-9:30 A.M. prior to his Funeral Mass at 9:30 A.M. Entombment in Notre Dame Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River, MA.
