Obituary

James Earl "Jim" Daugherty, 78, of Anderson went to be with the Lord after an extended battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).

He was born August 5, 1938 in Alexandria, IN to Russell and Marie (Balser) Daugherty.

He served as Lt. Commander in the United States Navy where he and his wife Linda (Cox) Daugherty were stationed in the Philippines after marrying at Pearl Harbor on August 12, 1963.

He was Business Manager at Culver Military Academy in Culver, IN and Physical Plant Director at DePauw University in Greencastle, IN before retiring in 2006 after 22 years.

He graduated from General Motors Institute in 1960 while working at Delco Remy and received his Masters degree in Business Administration from Ball State University.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Cox) Daugherty of Anderson; three sons, Eric, Kyle and Chad (Kat) Daugherty all of Zionsville, six grandchildren, Austin, Britney, Anastasia, Alexis, Samantha and Nathan; sister, Sharon (Robert) Dailey of Anderson, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday March 18, 2017 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, Anderson, with Rev. Gary Klinger of First Church of the Nazarene officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service.
