Mark J. Lundell, age 63, of Norton passed away peacefully, surrounded by his cherished family, on Monday March 13, 2017 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Diane Lundell. To whom he was wed for forty-one years.
Born in Boston, MA on July 14, 1953, he was a loving son of the late Alan Walter Lundell and Rita H. (Walsh) Lundell.
Mark grew up and was educated in Boston. His family spent summers at their cottage on the Norton Reservoir and later moved to Norton, where he was a 1971 graduate of Norton High School and lived ever since.
He had been employed for twelve years in all capacities fro Recom Heating and Air Conditioning in Brockton and previously worked for Independent Engineering in Stoughton.
At an early age, Mark established a lifelong love for being on the water. When younger he sailed aboard a Swan sailboat to destinations including the waters of Cape Cod, Rhode Island and Bermuda.
Mark also enjoyed sailing and canoeing on the Norton Reservoir, waterskiing and scuba diving. He very much loved spending time with family and friends, especially for holiday get-togethers and cookouts.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted son Jake J. Lundell and his wife Nathalie of Norton. He was the dear brother of Robert Lundell and his wife Mary of Taunton, Kenneth Lundell and his wife Mary of Needham Heights, Carol Easton of Bridgewater, Paul Lundell of Norton, Joan Jordan and her husband Gary of Florida and the late Richard Lundell. He is also survived by many adoring nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Mark’s wishes, services and burial will be private. Visiting hours have also been omitted.
