FALL RIVER – Ana R. Almeida, age 89, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Francisco Almeida. Born in Água Retorta, São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Pimental) Rezendes. Ana loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an amazing woman with a big heart and her love touched anyone around her.
Ana is survived by her children Olga Pacheco (husband Joseph), Manuel Almeida (wife Maria), Delia Tavares (husband Tony Rocha), Duarte Almeida (wife Leonora) and Anna Silveira (fiancé Al Duarte); 10 grandchildren, Michelle, Stacey, Melinda, Justin, Sheena, Crystal, Felicia, Ashley, Kenny and Christina; 14 great-grandchildren, Eli, Ella, Aryana, Liam, Autumn Rose, Jocelyn, Alexis, Joshua, Juliana, Ava-Truly, Cameron, Jazyln, Kylen and Jaden. She was predeceased by many siblings.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday here at 8 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Espirito Santo Church at 9 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Thursday from 5-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
