Jimmie Lee Coley
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, March 11, 2017, Mr. Jimmie Lee Coley, 79, loving husband of 57 years to Lou Ann Coley.
Mr. Coley was a native of Pembroke, GA and has lived in Martinez for several years. He joined the US Army as a young man and proudly served 2 tours in Vietnam. He also served in Korea and Germany. Mr. Coley met the love of his life, Lou Ann, in Seattle, Washington. He retired after 22 years in the Army and retired from Mulherin Lumber after 20 years. He was first a family man who dedicated his life to his wife and four children and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his daughters: Mari Lynn Coley, Patti Rae Pitts and husband Jimmy; son: David A. Coley and wife Deanna; daughter-in-law: Janice Coley; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren with one on the way. He is preceded in death by his son, James Anthony Coley.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with the Reverend Marc Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
