Allessandra (Sandra) Smith passed away suddenly on March 3, 2017 at the age of 78.
She was the daughter of the late Harold and Frances Smith and the sister of Harold (Harry) Smith and his wife Barbara, Laurence Smith and the late Doris Dyson and her husband Edward Dyson, and the late William Smith and his wife Jan Smith. She is also survived by her nieces Laura and her husband Robert Milton, Kimberley and her husband David Bowers, Whitney Eng, and her nephew Ben Tenney, as well as many grand nieces and nephews.
Allessandra attended Weymouth schools and after earning her nursing degree she went on to earn a degree from Northeastern University. She worked at a number of area hospitals, rising to the position of supervisor. She was also an accomplished crafts person, particularly in weaving and quilting. She was an animal lover and adopted many rescue dogs and cats over the years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial visiting hours at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St., (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Friday, March 10 from 4 to 7 PM.
