Obituary

Hugh "Jim" Fidler, age 88, of Weymouth passed away on March 1, 2017. Jim was born and raised in Charlestown and South Boston. He was a "Barn Boy," a WWII veteran proudly serving aboard the USS Los Angeles, and a Grand Knight for Knights of Columbus Council No. 5027.
Jim is survived by his loving daughters Susan Fidler of Mansfield, Nancy Reynolds and her husband Brian of Abington, and Maureen Gibbons and her husband Ed of Kingston, his former wife Helen T. McHugh (Ryan) of Weymouth, his grandchildren Curtis, Conor, Corey, Casey, Kristen, and Patrick. He is also the brother of Catherine Arnold, Francis Fidler, Kenneth Fidler, and the late Robert and Paul Fidler.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Jim on Monday March 6, 2017 from 9-11AM in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A Funeral Service in honor of Jim’s life will immediately follow the visitation at 11AM.
