Beatrice Shaffer, (Pirkovitz) 95, beloved wife of Henry Shaffer died at Winthrop Place, Winthrop March 5, 2017. Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Morris and Esther (Yudin) Pirkovitz.
Raised and educated in Boston attending Boston Girls High School, and continuing her education graduating from Chelsea Memorial School of Nursing in 1957. She was a member of the Hadassah B’nai Brith, Temple B’nai Israel of Beachmont.
She is survived by her many nieces and nephews, Johanna Alper and Amy Alper of CO, Susan Cohen of NY, Russell Pirkot of Greenfield, Donald Alper of W. Roxbury, Andy Cohen of TN, Gerald Pirkot of Randolph, Murray Bass of NJ, Joshua Alper of Belmont & Daniel Cohen of MA. She was predeceased by her siblings, Jeanette Alper, Jack Pirkot, Rose Cohen and Ann Brody.
Graveside services at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon Tuesday March 7, 2017 at 12:45PM. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Torf Funeral Service 151 Washington Ave., Chelsea.
