King, Sr., William “Bill “T.”, 82 went home to his Lord Friday, March 3, 2017 with family by his side.
He was born to Wilburn and Mable (McCorkel) King December 8, 1934 in Munfordsville, KY.
Bill was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean war, and then five years in the reserves; He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church; Bill worked for Brown & Williamson Tobacco co., where he retired in 1982; He was common to all, affectionately known as Sky King, Old Goat 1, and W.T.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Gary Wilson Hayes Jr.; and brothers, Garland and Stanley King.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Nancy Jean (Leffler) King; his children, Betty Jean Spratt (Rodney), Deborah Ann Arnold (Larry), and William T. King Jr.; grandchildren, Chris, Amanda, and Keith Michael; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Paizleigh, and Braylon; and a sister, Helen Crawford.
Funeral services will be Wednesday March 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 5708 Preston Highway.
Burial is in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday 1:00-8:00 PM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
