Obituary


Paul A. Cardone died peacefully at home on February 27, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was 85 years old. Paul was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a drummer in the Army band during the Korean War. He was a retired chemical engineer who spent the majority of his career working for the Polaroid Corporation where he earned five patents in the area of research and development. Paul was also an avid sportsman and car collector who raced cars, flew planes, scuba dove, skied, rode motorcycles, snowmobiles and boats. Former husband of Georgiana Cardone of Framingham, and loving father of Margrette Cardone Mondillo and her husband David, and James A. Bove and his wife Julie, all of Canton. Loving brother of Margaret Cardone and Pasquale Cardone, both of New York. Proud grandfather of Grace Mondillo, Michael Mondillo, James Bove, Melissa Bove, and Michelle Bove. He also leaves his “second” family, who cared for him with grace and dignity in his final years of life: Leonor, Emiliano, Micael and Ruben. Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St. Canton on Sunday, March 5th from 2-6 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Gerard Majella Church 1860 Washington St. Canton, on Monday, March 6th at 10:00 AM. Interment Canton Corner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s memory to Kindred Hospice, for “Camp I Believe,” at 275 Martine Street, Suite 202, Fall River, MA, 02723.
