Obituary

Gloria L. Daignault 82, of Olo St., died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Thomas Daignault. She was born in Minneapolis, MN, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Lebrecque) Cormier, and moved to Woonsocket at the age of sixteen. Gloria was a machine operator for Metal Box for several years. She also worked at CD Burns for eleven years. Gloria loved having yard sales, making puzzles, listening to country music and dancing.

She was the beloved mother of Peggy Lee Kocuiba of Burrillville, Thomas E. Daignault II, Wanda Rousseau, and Robin Sirignano all of North Smithfield, Arthur L. Daignault, Robert W. Daignault, Paul Daignault, Mary Rose Boucher, Eva Marie Daignault, Paula Marcotte, and Tabatha Lee Daignault all of Woonsocket and Michael J. Daignault of Utah. She was also survived by three brothers Robert and John Cormier of Woonsocket, and Herbert “Tiny” Cormier of OK; a sister Katherine “Kathy” Carbone of Woonsocket; twenty six grandchildren, twenty nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Church, South Main St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Friday 5-8 PM.
