Dartmouth – Mary C. Ambrosio, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at her home. She was the loving wife of the late George Ambrosio and the daughter of the late Joseph and Juventina (Moniz) Motta.
Born in New Bedford, Mrs. Ambrosio devoted herself to the upbringing and care of her family.
Her surviving family includes a son, Mark Ambrosio and his longtime companion Patricia Dinola, of Rhode Island, a brother in-law, Henry Openshaw of New Bedford; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mary was predeceased by 6 siblings: Lillian Openshaw, Ann Martin, Louis Motta, Mary Gomes, Emile Motta and Joseph Motta.
Her funeral will be Thursday beginning in the funeral home at 8:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, Ma 02740
