Betty Newsome
Augusta, GA –Entered into rest to be with her Lord, Friday, February 24, 2017, Mrs. Betty Newsome, 93, wife of 50 years to the late Mr. William R. Newsome, who passed away in 1995.
Mrs. Newsome was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta, GA. She was one of seven children. Mrs. Newsome was a beautiful mother and grandmother; she loved her family and was a wonderful wife to her husband. She loved her home and always took care of the birds in her yard. Mrs. Newsome will be greatly missed by her family. She is in a beautiful place with God watching over her.
Family members include daughter: Donna Adams and son-in-law James Adams; son: Reginald Newsome and daughter-in-law: Brenda Newsome; grandchildren: Julie Keen and husband Mark Keen, Tina Bowles and husband Jason Bowles, and John Newsome and wife Alisa Newsome; great grandchildren: Tyler Keen, Whitney Bowles and Baily Bowles; and brother: Clifton Weathers and sister-in-law Louise Weathers.
A graveside service will be Monday, February 27, 2017, 12:00 Noon at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Augusta Warrior Project, 701 Greene Street, Suite 104, Augusta, GA 30901.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 11:00 until 11:30 A.M. then proceed to the graveside service.
