Linda R. Emerson

Dateline: Norton, MA



Linda R. Emerson, age 56, a lifelong resident of Norton, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Golden Living Center in Attleboro.

Born in Brockton, MA on October 20, 1960, she was a loving daughter of the late Edward N. and Anita R. (Mack) Emerson.

Linda grew up in Norton and was a graduate of Norton High School. She was a stay home mother and caregiver to her cherished daughter Amy, who was the love of her life.

Linda was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton and delighted to be active in Amy’s activities, which included Girl Scouts and dancing. She also received much pleasure volunteering her assistance at the Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary in Attleboro.

Linda also had a special place in her heart for animals that included taking care of her late horse “Lady” and the companionship of her dogs “Patches” and “Sweetie” and her cat “Baby Girl”

She was the devoted mother of Amy R. Emerson of Norton, and the dear sister of Jeffrey Emerson of Brockton, and the late Fred Emerson and Edward Emerson. She also leaves behind many adoring and special friends.

Her funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Saturday, March 4th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power Street, Norton. Burial will be private and visiting hours have been omitted.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St., Norton.
