Lucille Ann (Soares) Franco, age 85, of Somerset, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017. She was the wife of the late Gilbert E. Franco, and daughter of the late Jesse O. Soares and Mary (Velozo) Ferreira. She worked at Bank of Boston for 20 years and after retiring she worked at Sam’s Club for 12 years. Lucille loved spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children; Jeffrey Franco of Fall River, Brian Franco and his wife Suzanne of Somerset, Paul Franco and his companion Lisa Rondeau of Fall River, sister; Mary Capeto of Somerset, grandchildren; Timothy Franco and his wife Renee, Christine Franco, Thomas Franco, Anya Phelan and her husband Andrew, Christopher McCabe, great granddaughter Raegan Elizabeth Franco, nephew James Rosa Jr., and special family friend and caretaker Jolijn Van Dulken (Missy) of the Netherlands.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Tuesday here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial St. Thomas More Church, Somerset at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours on Monday from 4-8 P.M.
