Dorothy Clair (Ryan) Elia of Medford died on Thursday, February 23, at the Winchester Hospital. Raised and educated in Medford, she was the daughter of the late William and Honora (Murphy) Ryan. Dorothy worked for many years as a Payroll Administrator at Converse Rubber Company.
Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late John Elia, and the devoted mother of Maureen Piccolo and her husband Anthony of Methuen, Dorothy Rudolph and her husband Edward of Medford. She was the loving grandmother of Teddy Rudolph and his wife Shannon of Medford, Keri Brown and her husband Norman of Lynnfield, and the loving great grandmother of Theo, Sophia, Gabriel, and Spencer. Dorothy was predeceased by three sisters and one brother. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Tuesday, February 28 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Winchester. Visiting hours Monday, February 27 from 4 through 8 PM.
