Sylvia Honey Brown, 91, of Revere, beloved wife of the late Sidney Brown died at home February 22, 2017. Born in Boston the daughter of the late William and Mamie Hyman. Raised and educated in Revere a graduate of Revere High School. A lifelong resident of Revere Sylvia enjoyed shopping, traveling and enjoying hot fudge sundaes with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children Howard Brown and his wife Joanne of N. Andover, Enid Markovitz and her husband Lester of Saugus, Mavis Epstein and her husband Lawrence of Stoneham, her grandchildren Amie DiMinico, Jonathan Markovitz, Leslie Stanton, Caitlin Piccuirro, Brandon Epstein, Sydnie Epstein, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her five brothers.
Her funeral service will be held from the Torf Funeral Chapel 151 Washington Ave., Chelsea, Sunday February 26, 2017 at 10:00AM. Interment in Tifereth Israel of Revere Cemetery Everett. Following the burial memorial observance will be held at the home of Mavis Epstein in Stoneham from 12:30pm to 8:00PM. Shiva to resume Monday –Thursday 1-8PM and Friday 1-4PM.
