Obituary

In Middleboro, February 21, 2017 Francis “Buddy” L. Shea, Age 87, passed away in the Hanna B.G. Shaw Home in Middleboro following a lengthy illness. Born in Boston, the son of the late Francis J. & Helen (Leahy) Shea. Buddy is survived by his loving wife, Frances (Milson) Shea of Middleboro. In addition to his wife, Buddy also leaves his children, Lauren Shea of Virginia, Francis “Biff” Shea and his wife Wendy of Arlington, MA, Andrea Shea of Charlestown, MA and Daniel Shea of Providence, RI. Buddy will be missed by his loving grandchildren, Kelsey and Samantha Tigner both of Virginia and Collin M. Shea of Arlington, MA. Buddy was a lifelong cable splicer and electrician working for 50 years with Boston Edison, Taunton Municipal Light Plant and Pacific Gas and Electric. Buddy was a member of the Elks and enjoyed coaching organized youth sports such as hockey and baseball. Above all he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who cherished his family.
Funeral home visiting hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Saturday, February 25th from 9-10:30 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann’s Church in Raynham at 11 am. Burial will be private at Bourne National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
