McManus, George J. Jr., of West Roxbury formerly of Dorchester Feb. 21st, 2017. Beloved husband of Louise M. (McCorkle). Loving father of Theresa Rooney and her husband Mark of South Boston and George J. III and his wife Mary of Braintree. Adored grandfather of Courtney, Meghan and George J. McManus IV and Jake, Nolan and Bridget Rooney. Brother of Peter McManus of Bridgewater, Eleanor Butler of Taunton, Mary Ellen McManus of Braintree and the late John A. McManus and Margaret Sheehan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Son of the late George J. Sr. and Margaret (Rabbitt) McManus. A friend of Bill W., George worked in the IT Department at Harvard University for over 40 years and spent many years as a youth hockey coach at the Murphy Rink in South Boston and the Neponset Rink in Dorchester. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury on Friday Feb. 24 at 10 am followed by a Funeral Mass in the Holy Name Church at 11:30 am.
