Carlo Crognale of Medford died on Monday, February 20, at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center. Born and raised in Introdacqua, Italy, he was the son of the late Gabriel and Maria Domenica (Romagnoli) Crognale. Carlo came to the U.S. in his twenties, settling first in Boston's North End before moving to Medford in 1971.
Carlo was the beloved husband of Linda (Ricci), and the devoted father of Rita Patriarca and her husband George of Wilmington, Marco Crognale of Medford, and Carla Ientile and her husband Joseph of Wilmington. He was the loving grandfather of Giancarlo and Christian Patriarca, Claudia and Isabella Crognale, Nicholas and Adriana Ientile, and brother of Loreta Ventresca, and the late Cleto and Giovanni Crognale. Carlo is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Saturday, February 25 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St, Malden, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden. Visiting hours Friday, February 24, from 4 through 8 PM.
