Barbara Justine O’Grady
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, February 19, 2017, Mrs. Barbara Justine O’Grady, 74, loving wife of 51 years to Michael J. O’Grady, Sr.
Mrs. O’Grady was born in New Jersey and lived in New York City for most of her formative years where she graduated from Hunter College. She met the love of her life, Michael, while he attended the nearby US Military Academy at West Point, where they were subsequently married in 1965. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. O’Grady was also an accomplished and renowned teacher and administrator.
Family members, in addition to her husband, include her sons: John O’Grady, Michael J. O’Grady, Jr. and wife Jill; grandchildren: Joshua, John, and Allan O’Grady; and many other loving family members.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 5:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Dave Dillard officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
