Obituary

Milton – Robert W. Morse 84, formerly of Whitman and Stoughton, died Sunday February 19 at the Brush Hill Care Center in Milton, after a period of failing health. He was the former husband of the late Fay (Burns) Morse.

Born in Ohio, he was the son of the late Harold E. and Glennie (Stafford) Morse.

Robert had proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War with the 937th Engr. AVN. Co

In his early years, he had been trained by his father Harold to be a tack maker, but had later made his career as a Certified Public Accountant.

He was a member of the South Shore Radio Control Club, and had loved building and flying model airplanes. He enjoyed writing and reciting poetry.

He is survived by his daughters Pamela Broder and her husband Charles of East Sandwich and Gail Morse and her husband Greg, his sister Marylou Hill, his uncle Raymond Stafford and his longtime friend Peggy Sweeney. He is also survived by his three granddaughters Jenny W. Broder, Abigail R. Broder and Kelly J. Broder. He fondly remembered his longtime friendship with the late Sherman Gurney.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visiting hours to be held Saturday February 25 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM with Military Honors at 12:45 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. By request of the family, all other services are private.
