Bechard, Ronald A. of Meuthen, MA. Beloved husband of Marie R. (Allieri) Bechard of Abington, MA. Son of Ludger and Blanche (Gagne) Bechard of Meuthen; brother Ralph (deceased) and Carol Chellis of Hudson, NH. Beloved father of Craig A. Bechard and his wife Lisa Horan of Las Vegas; daughter,Darlene M (Bechard/Allieri) Campbell and her husband David of Abington, MA. Grandfather to Darcy (Campbell) Lamond, and her husband Michael of Hanover, Darryn P.B. Campbell and wife Kimmberly of Scituate, MA, Elise Bechard of So. Boston, Kristina Bechard of California. Great-grandfather to Aidan, Sienna, Lexi, Tristan, Audrey, and AJ. Survived also by his brother in law Raymond (Sonny ) Allieri and his wife Jean and many nephews and nieces.
Ronald spent his career as a highly respected member of the dental manufacturing community finishing his career as vice- president of HPSC of Boston. He and his wife retired to their favorite place, a log home in Jeffersonville, Vermont. Those 25 years were filled with good friends and great times as members of the 55+ club enjoying many activities and experiences with wonderful friends. He was an active board member of the Cambridge Vermont Historical Society and responsible for the restoration of the covered bridges in the county. He was a life- long member of the NRA and enjoyed shooting at area gun clubs.
Ronald was a true patriot having served 9 years in the US Navy. He was a proud member of the armed forces serving in the Korean War. Ron lived in many places over the course of his life and always proudly flew the American Flag as a sign of his commitment and pride for his country.
Ronald’s true love was his wife Marie .They would have been married 63 years in June. His devotion to her was admired by all who knew this wonderful couple.
His was always a wise counsel for all members of the family who sought his advice on many issues.
Ronald will be remembered for his commitment to his wife, children and family; always ready to step up with whatever assistance was needed. He will be most admired and remembered for his honesty, wisdom, and true integrity; to stand alone if it meant doing what was right. Those attributes were touted by all who met him throughout his entire life; a true gentlemen.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
