FALL RIVER – Maurice J. Cabral, age 89 of Fall River and formerly of Swansea & Somerset, passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017 at Catholic Memorial Home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Alice (Tavares-Garcia) Cabral and the son of the late Antone & Laura (Smith) Cabral. Prior to retiring, Maurice worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a working foreman. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the local Antique Car Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: William Lemelin of Somerset and Judith Ann Medeiros of Swansea; siblings: Ida Cabral, Gertrude Sadler, and the late Edward Cabral; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
His private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main Street, Fall River, MA.
