In Taunton, February 17, 2017 Shirley G. Haggerty, passed away peacefully in Morton Hospital at the age of 85. Shirley was the wife of the late Robert Haggerty. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Earl & Marian (Ludlow) Logan. Shirley was a lifetime resident of Taunton. She was employed at Rand McNally Company in Taunton. She enjoyed bird watching, nature, taking road trips, watching storms and cherished her time with the grandchildren. Shirley leaves her children, Robert Haggerty and his wife Mara of Soldotna, Alaska, Michael Haggerty and his wife Teresa of Raynham, Patricia Medeiros of Taunton, John Haggerty and his wife Joy of Taunton, Cathleen Andrus and her husband Rich of Taunton and the late Nancy Sands. She also leaves her sister Natalie Bowen of Taunton and her late brothers Edward and Earl Logan. Shirley also leaves her 14 loving grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Shirley also leaves Joshua Jewitt of Nashua, NH and Jimmy Maloney of Easton, both of whom she thought of as her sons. A funeral home service will be held on Wednesday, February 22nd at 11 am. at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tuesday from 5-8 pm. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
