Obituary

Russell I Parker, Jr. passed away on February 17, 2017 after an extended illness. He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on May 21, 1938 to Russell I Parker and Wanda H. (Wisniewski) Parker. He grew up in North Brookfield, Massachusetts and graduated from North Brookfield High School in the class of 1956. He attended the University of Massachusetts and Clark University before joining the US Air Force in 1959. After his basic and electronics training he was stationed in Othello, Washington where he served. During that time, he attended further college studies and received his Bachelor’s Degree. After the service, he worked in many companies in the Boston area as a computer consultant programmer.
He was a long-time resident of North Attleboro, Massachusetts and enjoyed his interests in vintage automobiles, genealogy and music. In addition to being skilled at the accordion, organ and piano he participated as a tenor and member of the Murray Unitarian Universalist Church Choir and of the Chaminade Singers for many years. He was a generous and valued contributor to the musical life of the community.
Russ leaves his brothers Gerald of Windsor, CT, Tim of Ware, MA, Ron of Sumner, ME and sister Susan Strelow of Appleton, WI, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

The Burial will be on Friday February 24, 2017 at 1:45 PM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts, preceded by a brief service for the family.
