Robert F. Perry, 87, of Dartmouth died February 16, 2017 at St. Anne's Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Beatrice (Martin) Perry with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Frank C. and Irene (Correia) Perry, he lived in Dartmouth most of his life.
Mr. Perry was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.
He was formerly employed by Nabisco for 39 years until his retirement as top salesman.
Mr. Perry was an avid baseball and Notre Dame football fan who enjoyed history and family vacations. He devoted his retirement to caring for and helping to raise his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife; his 9 children, Michael F. Perry and his wife Susan of New Bedford, Susan I. Perry of Acushnet, Christopher F. Perry of Dartmouth, Jay J. Perry and his wife Alyssa of Dartmouth, Melissa H. Parker and her husband Jeremy of Dartmouth, Gail P. Camara-Marks of Freetown, Steven J. Camara of Dartmouth, Robert J. Camara and his wife Joan of Acushnet and Judith A. Camara of Yarmouthport; a sister, Joyce Walecka and her husband Adolph of Dartmouth; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late David Camara.
His Funeral will be held on Monday, February 20th at 9:30 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by his Funeral Mass at St. Julie Billiart Church at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, February 19th from 4-7 PM.
