Mona R. Moore, 86, of Derry, passed away on February 15, 2017 surrounded by her family at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center.
Mona was born on May 4, 1930 to her parents, Monte and Jule (Holland) Wales in Ranger, TX. She graduated with the Class of 1949 from the University of Texas. Mona worked for many years until her retirement as a supervisor for the Internal Revenue Service. In addition to being devoted to her family, Mona was fond of golf. She touched many lives and will truly be missed.
Mona is survived by her devoted son, William Moore and his wife Paula of Methuen, MA, She was also the cherished grandmother to her two grandchildren; William T. Moore and his wife Marie of Londonderry, NH, and Kristy Lipke of Bedford, NH. Additionally, Mona was the loving great-grandmother to her six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 10AM – 12PM at Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St, Methuen, MA. Friends and family are cordially invited. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Ridgewood Cemetery 177 Salem St, North Andover, MA 01845.
