Obituary


Daniel J. Flood Jr., a lifelong resident of Canton, died February 14, 2017. He was 79 years old. Dan was a retired banking loan officer and former owner of Flood’s Market in Canton for many years. He proudly served the citizens of Canton as a Selectman and as a current member of the Board of Assessors. He was also a former member of the Canton Town Club. He was the devoted husband of Anne “Carolyn” Flood (Girardin). Loving father of Daniel J. Flood III of Stoughton, Michele “Missy” Flood and her partner Richard Barlow of Stoughton, Timothy P. Flood and his wife Sarsha of Rehoboth, and John H. Flood III and his wife Kristena of Canton. Loving brother of Ellen M. Stonis of FL, and the late Mary L. MacLeod, John H. Flood, and Susan D. Flood. Proud Papa of Hannah, Joseph, Maggie, Elaina, Alexis, John, and Julie. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St. Canton, Sunday from 2-6 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church 700 Washington St. Monday, February 20th at 10:30 AM. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Canton. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the CHS Athletic Boosters Club, PO Box 36, Canton, MA 02021.
