Obituary

Gerald R. “Jerry” Flynn 60, of Bedford, died suddenly, following an accident Sunday February 12, 2017 at the Lahey Clinic Hospital in Burlington.

Born November 12, 1956 in Boston, a son of Gerald J. Flynn of Franklin and the late Marie F. (Powers) Flynn, he was a former resident of Dedham and Boston before moving to Bedford.

He was raised and educated in Dedham, where he was a 1974 graduate of Dedham High School. Jerry worked as an electrician for the Honeywell Corporation.

He served his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in January 1976.

Jerry loved politics, reading, debating and watching movies.

In addition to his father, he is survived by 2 sisters, Karyn E. Flynn & Colleen M. Flynn both of Franklin, 2 nieces, Victoria & Elizabeth Flynn, and a cousin Sister Mary Frances Cunningham of Rumford, RI.

His funeral service with military honors will be held privately at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the New England Center for Homeless Veterans 17 Court St. Boston, MA 02108.
