Lewis S. Carbone, of Methuen and a former longtime resident of Woburn passed away peacefully, February 9, 2017, following a lengthy illness. He was 75 years of age. "Butchie" as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, was the beloved husband of the late Carol A. (Recchia) Carbone. Born in Woburn he was the son of the late Lewis and Margaret (Redmond) Carbone.
Butchie was raised and educated in Woburn and was a graduate of Woburn High School. He worked for many years as a talented union carpenter and later was a self-employed contract carpenter. He was a former member of the Woburn Moose Lodge and will be greatly missed by his loving family.
Butchie is survived by his devoted children, Cheryl Hurley and Debbie Carbone, both of Billerica, Lewis Carbone Jr. and his wife Denise of Woburn, and Carol Carbone Kennedy of Ireland. He was the loving grandfather of Rachel, Jake, Jimmy, Brian, Michael, Eamonn, Rudy, Bella and the late Dominique. Brother of Tommy, Mabel, Peggy, Louann, Marcia and the late Dolly. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Big Boy and is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to gather and visit with the family at the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 374 Main St., WILMINGTON, Wednesday, February 15th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. concluding with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Interment services will be private.
