Obituary

NATICK: Mark Richard Cristofori, age 58, a lifelong resident of Natick, died on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, after a sudden illness. He was the devoted son of the late Francis J and Mary (Grupposo) Cristofori.

A graduate of the Natick Public Schools, Mark, continued his education at culinary school and was employed right away in the kitchen of Boston’s famed Maison Robert. Mark enjoyed his time at the restaurant very much, but after several years in its employ, he enrolled in Wentworth Institute to complete his Bachelor’s Degree. While in school, he worked with his Dad and grandmother at the family grocery store, Grupposo’s Market in Natick. After graduation, he continued at the store until the family decided to close. He was currently employed as a meat cutter among his friends at Tilly and Salvy’s.

Mark’s mother died in 1999, and his father later married Pearl Oliva, with whom Mark had a warm relationship until her death, not long after his father passed away in 2013.
Mark was kind and dedicated friend who enjoyed visiting and catching up with family. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his cousins, Paula Shakespeare of Duxbury, Ann DelVecchio and her husband Mark of Wellesley and their families; an Aunt, Charline Cristofori and cousins Charon, Scott, and Carla Cristofori and their families, all of Florida; and cousins Helen Thompson and Linda Husband and their families. He is also survived by his devoted friends David and Loretta Presutti of Natick, Imadiel Ariel of Wellesley, and his Tilly and Salvy’s Bacon Street Farm family.

Relatives and friends may gather at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Thursday, February 16th at 9:30AM and later process to a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Paul’s Church, 502 Washington Street, Wellesley, at 11:AM. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Needham.
