FALL RIVER - Maria “Mary Jo” Correia, age 70, passed away on February 10, 2017, surrounded by her loving family and friends at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Correia. Born in Ponta Delgada, Soa Miguel, Acores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Sousa-Adriano) Rego.
Maria leaves behind her sister Clara Ferreira of Fall River, grandson Raymond Levesque and her dearest friend Jennifer Ferreira of Fall River. She was also predeceased by her daughter Alicia Correia.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River Wednesday with extended calling hours from 9:30-10:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Josephs Church at 11:00 A.M.
