Augusta, GA. - Entered into rest Thursday, February 9, 2017, Mr. Roy D. Brothers, 88. The cause was chronic pulmonary disease and cardiac issues.
Mr. Brothers was born in 1928 in Fort Worth, Texas. He joined the Navy then transferred to the Army and traveled extensively. He met and married his wife of 68 years in Columbus, GA. Mr. Brothers was an avid Trump fan, he could always be found watching Fox News and rooting for his candidate.
He is survived by his wife: Louise Brothers; two daughters: Sherry Ficeto and Debra Cain; three grandchildren: Angela Puglissi, Misty Covington and Glenn Cain; five great grandchildren and three sisters: Gwen Pope, Emmalois Westbrook and Sharon Lynch.
A memorial service will be Monday, February 13, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Directors with Dr. Michael Davenport officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Full Army Honors.
