Obituary

Laconia-----Dorothea “Sally” S. Dame, 88, of Court Street, passed into the arms of the Lord after a brief illness on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Lakes Region General Hospital.
Sally was a proud survivor of Leukemia, having left Concord Hospice House shortly after her diagnosis.
Sally was born on June 22, 1928 in Concord, the daughter of Leo and Clara (Mellon) Swain. She lived in Laconia for the past 55 years. She was employed by St. Pierre's' for a number of years and later worked for AT & T and New England Telephone as a telephone operator for 40 years.
Sally enjoyed dining out with friends and family and was a social butterfly. She also enjoyed dabbling in arts and crafts, making chocolates with her grandson, Brad and her favorite time of the day was 5 O’clock.
Sally is survived by 5 daughters, Linda Bryar and her husband, Gregory, of Gilford, Sandra Dame-St. Gelais and her husband, Donald, of Sanbornton, Barbara Foote, and her husband, James, of Laconia, Sally Dame and Dana Singleton, of Metheun, MA and Suzanne Wolf and her husband, John, of Northfield; 11 grandchildren, Todd and Tarah, Tom and Jodi, Zachary and Monique, Scott and Nikki, Allyson and Matt, Bryan and Natalie, Caleb, Brad, Conner and Natasha , Patrick and Carly, and Shawn and Chloe; 10 great grandchildren, Ian, Morgan, Brayden, Trafton, Trace, Brittany, David, Samantha, Leo, Alfie and a baby girl arriving in April; several nephews and nieces and her dear friend, Teri Patridge. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by a brother Clayton and 4 sisters, Barbara, Virginia, June and Peggy and 2 sons-in-law, Alfred Parys and Duncan Taylor and the father of her children, Edward A. Dame Jr.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia NH using the Carriage House entrance.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 10:00am at the Gilford Community Church, 19 Potter Hill Road, Gilford NH .
