Mildred Pate Alberson, 91, of Ashburn, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at Pruitt Health Care in Sylvester.
Born in Turner County on November 7, 1925 to the late Walter Jefferson and Margaret Elizabeth Hobby Pate, she was a homemaker and a seamstress and the widow of Loyce Alberson. She was also a member of Morningside Baptist Church in Ashburn.
She is survived by her son, Jerry (Jan) Alberson of Tifton; daughters, Alice Faye (Wayne) Thornhill of Albany, Margaret Ann (Tony) Griffis of Doles and Debra Ann (Randy) Hardy of Ashburn; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Gene Alberson and a grandson, Luke Alberson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Ashburn First Baptist Church with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
