Obituary

NATICK: Priscilla J. Forance, formerly of Marblehead and recently of Dover, NH, died peacefully on February 3, 2017, at the Hyder Hospice House in Dover, NH, after a lengthy illness.

Born, raised and educated in Natick, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Sherburne) Forance and sister of William ”Ted” Forance, late of Brewster. Priscilla is survived by her sister-in-law, Patricia Maloon of Natick, and was the beloved aunt of Carol and Emile Barry of Tyngsborough, Elizabeth and John Fitzgerald of Bradenton, FL, Edward and Janet Vercelli of Buda, TX, Thomas and Karen Forance of Natick, James and Janice of Dracut, and John and Anne Dutrey of Montclair, CA. She is also survived by many grandnieces and nephews, and a number of dear friends, both locally and the world round.

Priscilla was a graduate of Fisher College and was employed until recently as an educational media distributor. A feminist, political activist, and advocate for artists and filmmakers, Priscilla served as President of New England Women in Film. Her open heart and free loving spirit is the legacy she leaves behind.

Her memorial service will be held at John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, on Saturday, March 18th at 11:00AM. Friends may gather to visit with the Forance Family beginning at 10:00AM. Burial will be private at a later date.

In lieu flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the charity of your choice.
