Thomas M. Prince passed away on January 30, 2016 at the age of 69. Thomas was born on August 25, 1947 in Melrose, MA to his parents, the late Francis T. and Theresa (Sampson) Prince. He married his beloved wife, Mary (Angelo) Prince on June 1, 1974. Together they lived in Melrose, MA for 38 years where they raised a loving family and made many friends.
Thomas was a family man first and avid fisherman second. Many summer days, if he wasn`t out on the lake fishing, he was sitting by the campfire talking about bait, the lunker of the day, and sometimes, the one that got away, or planning the next trip for striper fishing on the Cape. T spent much of his time with his children, brothers, other family members and friends. He was especially happy when we would gather for our huge family dinners to share our contagious laughter and stories of our adventures.
Thomas was the beloved father to his son, Michael Prince, and two daughters Kathy (Prince) Leathers and her husband Bradley, and Adrienne (Prince) Whelan and her husband Jason. His grandchildren Benjamin Leathers and Megan Whelan were cherished by him. Thomas is further survived by his four brothers, Robert Prince and his wife Karen, Steven Prince and his wife Cheryl, Kevin Prince, and Jeffrey Prince and his wife Charlene. Alma Sampson (deceased) cherished her grandson Thomas. Thomas was the loving son-in-law of Salvatore Angelo (deceased) and Rose Angelo. Thomas was the loving brother–in-law to Robert Angelo and his wife Patricia, Salvatore Angelo and his wife Nancy, and Karen Angelo and her husband Steven Andrada. Thomas was the beloved uncle and god father to many family and friends who were always in his heart and will miss him dearly.
Funeral Services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, Friday, February 3rd, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home will be held on Thursday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Interment services will be private.
