Ronald B. Girardin, age 76, of Brockton, died peacefully surrounded by family, January 30, 2017 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Ron was the husband for 51 years of Elizabeth W. (Jones) Girardin. Born in Malden, he was the son of the late Raymond G. and Mildred L. (Butler) Girardin. He was raised in Wakefield, was a graduate of Wakefield High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Boston University. For over 20 years, Ron was employed at Russ Electric in Hingham. He was a train enthusiast and some of his other interests included history, music, architecture and photography. He enjoyed playing the piano daily and was a 32 year Fellowship Member of Alcoholics Anonymous, helping many other program members. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Ron is also survived by his children: Denise Kandis and her husband Ron; Laura Girardin; Gregory T. Girardin and Stephanie Ortiz-Boscana and her husband Martin all of Brockton; four grandchildren Victoria Rose and Olivia Grace Girardin and Sebastian Martin and Xavier Martin Ortiz-Boscana; his brother and sister-in-law Raymond and Marlene Girardin and sister Nancy Benjamin and her husband Gary. He was the brother of the late Allen Girardin.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday 4-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 10am, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.
